Barranco Gallery
A lively space for the visual arts inside Barranco: more approachable, more open, and connected with nature and with the community already rooted here.
Right now the gallery is open to new proposals. If you have a show in mind, tell us about it.
What we are looking for
We want there to always be something to see at Barranco, even when there is no event: a show, a work, a reason to come in and stay a while.
We welcome proposals from established and emerging artists, students, collectives, universities and schools. Visual arts in the broadest sense: painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, textile, installation, sculpture, experimental or mixed work.
We do not want to compete with other galleries, but to add to La Paz’s cultural ecosystem from a different place.
How it works
- Length
- Each show runs for 3 to 6 weeks, depending on availability and the kind of proposal.
- Deposit
- 200 Bs, refundable, for the care of the space and possible minor repairs.
- Hanging
- Each artist or collective coordinates hanging and taking down with us. Leave the room as you found it, or better.
- Sales
- Sales go mainly to the exhibitors. If Barranco takes part in selling (catalogue, attention, intermediation), a contribution or commission is agreed beforehand.
- Promotion
- We support your show on our social media and community channels.
- Opening
- An opening or closing event can be organised as a co-production, with clear agreements on logistics and contributions.
- Shared use
- The room also hosts compatible uses such as yoga or workshops, always caring for the works according to their fragility and placement.
- Outdoors
- Some proposals can extend into the gardens, with extra agreements on safety, weather and installation.
